sarah lindley wins prolific north marketing award

Sarah Lindley, Managing Director of The Yorkshire Marketing Agency, was awarded the Prolific North Champions award for ‘Best In-House Marketing Team’, alongside her team as Marketing Director at Corecom Consulting: The UK’s Leading IT Recruitment Company. The Prolific North Champions Awards, which are now in their eighth year, recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals, teams and organisations from across the creative and digital sectors operating in the North of England. The winners were announced at a high-profile awards ceremony held at The Point, Lancashire Cricket Club, Manchester.

Corecom has seen rapid growth since the pandemic, with growing revenues and an emphasis on diversity and inclusion, which led to Sarah being recognised for her and her team’s outstanding campaign work during the last year. They have contributed to significant revenue increase and delivered highly successful outcomes against the company’s objectives to be a truly responsible and reputable recruitment company by championing the values they stand for.

Employee health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion and women in tech have been at the forefront of Sarah’s campaigns over the last year and have had some very successful outcomes, including:

•    Launching Corecom’s diversity and inclusion educational and awareness campaign in June 2021, which featured interviews with the newly appointed diversity and inclusion ambassadors across all social media platforms, internal Pride Day celebrations and a series of diversity and inclusion employee training sessions. Employee surveys were also carried out to identify gaps in the team’s knowledge, which then helped to adapt and create new material. This campaign generated additional revenue whilst also securing business commitment to further invest in the initiative, delivering against the financial and value driven objectives set.

•    A Women in Technology marketing campaign which focused on how tech companies can attract more women to the workplace. Research was carried out with over 120 women in tech to identify barriers to entry, which was then later shared with Corecom’s clients via educational training sessions and workshops.

•    Partnerships were made with Leeds Beckett University and the University of Liverpool to champion women in technology and help young women in the early stages of their careers. Corecom’s Women in Technology Engagement Associates mentored and coached young women who had an interest in tech, which fed into Corecom’s wider campaign to build technology skills for women and underrepresented groups.

Sarah said:

“I am absolutely thrilled with this win. I have supported Corecom with their strategic marketing for six and a half years now. They are such a driven and passionate team. That, coupled with a community focused and ethically driven management team, has enabled us to deliver outstanding and meaningful results. At the Yorkshire Marketing Agency, we feel extremely lucky to be working with an organisation that is ahead of the curve across all of these facets and that encourages its employees to fully immerse themselves in communities and tackle industry issues head on.”

Corecom Managing Director, Jonathan Sanderson, added:

“This award is testament to the pivotal role that Sarah and her team play in our business. They are a formidable team and really pack a punch with their unwavering focus on driving our diversity and inclusion agenda, alongside growing our revenue year on year. Despite the trials and tribulations thrown at the industry and our business throughout the pandemic, they have never faltered to smash our strategy, delivering insightful campaigns that really harness our core values. They have also delivered tangible results that meet our key objective to be a responsible and reputable recruiter that transforms key issues in our own community as well as on a global scale.”

Sarah has contributed to Corecom’s award winning status through this Marketing award, which will sit alongside their recent accolade from Investors in People; Platinum Status.
