E-mail Marketing

E-mail marketing is a highly effective and relatively inexpensive way to capture new customers, drive repeat sales, build a brand following and generate referrals.

Personalised and targeted e-mail communications will engage your audience and generate sales. Carefully planned and timed e-mail marketing campaigns can have a very positive effect on your sales and repeat business. You should look at the behaviour of those on your e-mail subscription lists when organising your various campaigns, including those who have:

·       Made one single purchase

·       Repeatedly purchased

·       Made contact but haven’t yet purchased

E-mail campaigns can be automated based on behaviours and you can use incentives to increase sales. Tracking your buyer’s behaviour will help you to tailor your e-mails to those who opt in. Repeat customers, for example, can be rewarded with loyalty e-mails and dormant buyers should be encouraged to visit your site again e.g. special offer, new product. E-mail campaigns are also an effective way of gaining customer referrals, converting those who have abandoned their shopping baskets and to potential customers to motivate them to purchase. The more targeted your e-mails are and the better the messaging, design, frequency and promotions, the more you should see increased sales from your e-mail marketing.
